【Status Report】 Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Support Activity June 20
"San-san no Kai" in Ofunato City, the group BAJ has been supporting since April, sent us the following activity report.
During June 2 to 7, Iwate Product Exhibition was held in Morioka Kawatoku Department store. The cooking staff from "San-san no Kai" attended the event and opened a stall representing Ofunato City.
The aim of participating in this event was to let as many people know about the realities of the Tsunami affected areas. "San-san no Kai" participated in this event to promote the meal provision activities. It was essential to participate in this event because this was the way to appeal the need for long-term assistance and commitment for the victims of this devastating disaster.
BAJ provided funds for "San-san no Kai" for the second-round and it was mostly spent on the preparation and running of a stall in the exhibition. The rest was spent on the cost of lunch boxes to be delivered to the evacuation centers.
